When we think of the great venues in the Auckland music scene, a few names come to mind - Whammy, Neck of the Woods, Power Station... but we would be remiss if we forgot to mention one lesser known space: Nicegoblins Collective.
Tattoo studio by day, event space by night, Nicegoblins is a hub for the Auckland arts community from across disciplines - photography, to fashion, to music.
As an artist who strives to break down barriers - within ourselves, between genres, and between artistic media, there's no better space to host my album release show.
Supporting in my debut headline will be close friends and musical collaborators @bloodshot_mafia, @ewoinvaders, @chrs_w, and last minute addition @b4nks3t! The market portion of the night will feature stalls from @vandal_and_hound, @almondsugary, and @skimpynymphworld. The multimedia exhibition 'LOVE/ HATE' by @aliyasennn and @stabbygabby.gif will also be on display!
The multidisciplinary arts experience, somewhere between a concert and a market, attempts to highlight my message of collaboration, and pride in our individuality, while the lack of alcohol sales draws attention to my sobriety, and its importance in my journey as a creative, and as a human being. It's all going down at @nicegoblins_collective, at 220A
Dominion Rd. on July 7th 2023. Doors open at 7, live music starts at 9:30. Tickets will be available at the door, for only $10.00, or koha.
The album releases a week later on July 13th, but I'll be selling a very limited run of CDs at the event, so it'll be your first chance to listen to the album before anyone else, there'll also be a special, exclusive merch drop available.
